i lost a liter and a half of blood trying to "kill myself" when i was eighteen and drunk and spent the following year in various physical/psychiatric therapy programs... the psych was bullshit but trust me there is nothing fun or fad or scene about bleeding out and necrotic infections and having permanent nerve damage and spending every other week in a doctor's office and missing months of work and never ever being trusted by yourself ever again
